The first issue that we wanted to address is how we can give coworking spaces a larger community of people that would gel with their existing community. Like in normal workspaces, work culture is incredibly important. Unfortunately we have heard that in some situations coworking spaces ultimately face the choice between scale or culture.
We believe that we have made in-roads on that problem by building what we call our “Culture Engine” - it is a formula that evaluates how well someone fits into your existing work community based on their personality. This has allowed us to match people to more suited locations, which has in turn led to better experiences for hosts and guests.
Something we found surprising is that on average 25% of invoices created by spaces are usually overdue or outstanding. For businesses that rely on good cashflow that can be an absolute pain. We integrated CoLo with Stripe which means that you will be able to deduct payments from credit card or debit cards rather than having to wait for an invoice to get paid.
We also wanted to create a tool that would automate some of the manual tasks space operators and managers face on a regular basis. Onboarding and accounting processes are classic ones. Given that every space have their own individual processes in place already, we wanted to create a solution that would migrate into the system they are already using.
We are currently using Zapier as a way to connect CoLo actions (i.e. new payment is made, new person is onboarded) to your existing processes (i..e create invoice in Xero or Quickbooks, add guest to Mailchimp list etc.).
